October Card Reveal for Card Chain Challenge

I'm trying to be Spooky!

I think I got Fun Spooky for my partner for the October Card Chain Challenge.  I went for "Let's Get Spooky and Fall, but more spooky.  Those darling ghosts may be a little too happy, but I'm hoping the different colors in the  crooked windows helps bring the idea of spooky across and if not, then just plain WIERD will do.  This was definitely fun to make.
The "thing" standing in the door is part of the cute little ghosts (in the attic & front door) and the set has never been used.

I rarely make matchbook cards, but I did it for this theme, but I also recycled a panel from an ECD embossing folder - the black glossy panel, which was just perfect.  I butted the black panel on the bottom flap up against the top so that it looked like the continuation of the main panel. 

Below is the card opened. Check it out.  There is no "Christmas !" on the bottom of the open card.

I've made a Christmas card with an envelope pop up die set and I love it.  I've only used this die once and it looks totally different - at least I think so. Check the first card out here,

I stamped all the critters and they were all so cute and just what I wanted for a Christmas card.  They had their first showing here along with the sentiment..

I love this card - it just brightens up my desk and I don't have to let it go for a couple months.  It is interactive and so easy to put together.

This next card is a shaped card, but not interactive. I made this card with Pink & Main Envelope Pop Up Card dies, using dies only.

I also made a totem pole of MUGS.   The set includes sentiments and four different fun mugs.  I only used three mugs here.  Each cup sits in each mug perfectly.  I just glued each cup, one on top of the other, laid the group on top of a folding white  card , glued it and then cut the entire card around the mugs.  Each individual mug will make a marvelous Tag.

I couldn't help myself but join the Craft Roulette Challenge

 I love how so many different cards and ideas can come from one random spin of the wheel on Craft Roulette.  I thought 4 Bar as a project consisted of 4 bars on a card... hahaha.  It is the actual SIZE of the card.  Good thing I wrote it in the chat.  The measurements were discussed and the size could be a 3 ½"X5" card.  Since I bought blank Tent Cards several years ago to make Slimline and Mini-slimline cards without using up my *3 ½'X11" paper, I have an easy way to measure just length-wise and make a 3 ½X5" card.  
A 4-bar card measures 3 1/2 inches by 4 7/8 inches but I don't have to spend time being so exact..

Pretty Simple Wavy Hillside in October

 The Creative  Crafters starts a monthly challenge every 15th of the month and I've made a stencil to make a beautiful flower as inspiration for this month.

I couldn't resist this house for an October card.  It's a simple card and I used some pieces of scrap paper to make it.  I didn't have enough of the "sky" paper to cover the entire bottom as I had cut pieces out of it .  I just layered the mountains over it.  You can see it's pretty simple, but somehow I really like it.

I rarely use the sketch option but I'm using that option this month.  I used the same top die as the card is made from, but cut it in red, then trimmed it to make the design similar to the sketch.  I thought the small boats fit perfectly to fit the design.  This was stretching for me.

I used the Pink & Main Berry Pop-Up Card Dies.  
The same die was used for both cards

This pop-up card is easy to make and as you can see, you can make this unique by changing some things around, using different papers for the box and changing the flower colors.

Another example of using this die set. I made this at a live event in 2025, but never shared.   

I used Pink and Main Berry Pop-Up Card Dies however the 2nd card was pre-cut for our class in 2025 and we used string instead of the panel used on the first card.

I'm in the mood for Snowmen and I used a paper bag from one of the stamp companies to use as a background.  Shame on me, but I almost threw it out instead of re-using it.  Don't you think this is a fantastic Snowman?

This is a new acquisition which I couldn't resist.  There are two marvelous little birds and a cute bunny with lots of sentiments in the set.

Telling on myself, but I almost missed the handle on the lantern and it would have been hanging in air.  I'm very, very happy with my first Art Impressions snowman.

Craft Roulette Card August 14th 2026

 I looked on the floor and had dropped a cross word card I had bought 10 years ago and just hadn't used the last one from the box.  Here's what happened to it.

I went for friendship and since it's summer, I thought a nice cold drink would be perfect.  I made a "Blueberry Splash" with straw and ice cubes.  The ice cubes are cut from a parchment type paper and the straw from a lovely vellum...  oh, Fresh Blueberries sitting in the bottom of the drink.
