Halloween is a Fun Time For Me

It's Autumn with Bugaboo Stamps and time to inspire you to join the Die Cut Divas' Autumn Challenge.  Make it Autumnal or Halloweenish and join us at Die Cut Divas.
Bugaboo Stamps

I have always loved Halloween because it was always fun to dress up and give out little Halloween cards at grade school as I was growing up.  Now I love greeting Halloweeners at my door to see the fun costumes and give some candy out.  I made a spooky card for this last day of October, fun and a bit spooky.

Card Chain Challenge Reveal for October

I try to join the Card Chain Challenge every month because it is so much fun to send and receive hand made cards.  November is open for sign-ups.

For October, we had lots of choices, as always.  I chose spooky, although my card isn't very spooky.  It does have a spooky house though.  I hope my partner in the challenge likes her card.  This is the first time I've used this stamp and I even forgot I had it.  It was fun to get out the Distress inks and play as well as stamp and try to figure out what ghoulish figures might be in the windows.  I don't know if I really figured it out, but I think some of them were ghosts and maybe some mummies.

You can find the reveal right here.

Supplies:
Rubbernecker haunted house
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangle dies
My Momenta (capital letters)
Distress inks - wilted violet, ripe persimmon, mustard seed, peeled paint
Black multi-liner to accent the house more

SECOND CARD - a bit quirky
I popped up the sentiment for a "just because" kind of card. This is only part of the image.  I just loved that tea pot house, so I resized it to make it larger.  I love the way that mouse is taking it easy.
I made a mistake on the left curtain of the kettle house.  I drew the circle all the way around the left side where the curtain was supposed to be hanging out the window - too dark a color to easily get rid of.  I put a dot of Nuvo to make it look like the other dots on the house - I SAVED it.

Here's the coloring page so you can go for the full image if you want.  Really CUTE!

Supplies for slimline card:

I had printed out two images and cut both with the same die.  I colored one image and put it aside.   It wasn't until I picked up both in my hand that I knew I wanted to use both the black and white image and a colored image on my card.   I've always thought this image was a beauty and the beast theme.  Some of you may not like this image, but the woman has the most gorgeous features to color.  This image does not seem to be available at this time, but I would keep on checking at Creative Art Design Studio.

Thoughts of rain enter our heads come October and this bear just appealed to me because he's cute and holding a patched umbrella.   We have a long summer with no rain (as always) and now it's time to fill up our dams and get wet!

How much cuteness can you deal with in the rain?  I looked up a quote about Autumn and found a very thoughtful and wonderful quote that I think fits October musings very well.  The quote reads "Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons" by Jim Bishop.

I zig-zagged my way across the sky surface with a BG0000 or BG000 marker to add a bit of interest.
