Morgan's Artworld Tiger

Time to let the wild side show at Morgan's Artworld!  I used so many different colors that I couldn't keep track.  I wanted to give this animal enough variation in color and shading to make it come alive and I am happy with the result.  I was afraid to add too much that would muddle the colors, but just enough to look decently realistic.

Flowers for May and Mothers

I did make a Mother's Day Card and wanted to show it off after I gave it away.  It was quite sunny when I took the photo so it's a bit, well, a lot of yellow and sunshine yellow to deal with in the photo.  In real life, it's NOT as  bright as it looks here.

This first photo shows the finished card and the second photo shows how I worked from oranges and yellows to black, oranges and yellows.

This second card shows the actual shade of yellows so you can see how the addition of the edging made this card fell more complete.

Happy Road Trip 50th Birthday

A2Z Scrapbooking has a monthly challenge of "May Flowers".  Please join in and even though I didn't make a flower card, I've got my Birthday card ready.

Definitely a guy card.  The sun was shining so brightly that  the white and black seemed to glare back at me.  The Route 50 sign is inside a balloon with a silver bow popped where the string is tied to the balloon.  I was at a loss on the kind of card I wanted to make until I went searching through my printed images from the A2Z digital kits for something entirely unrelated and BOOM, I had my idea.  It's simple and to the point for a guy who is turning the BIG 50.

Supplies:
A2Z Digital Road Trip kit
Balloons cut from my Cameo
Voila mini bow from stash

Bugaboo's Spring Window

There is still time to join in the Die Cut Divas' challenge to use flowers in your project.  May has 31 days, so you still have days to create and enter.  Die Cut Divas has a great challenge every month!

I created a black and white brick background to set this window in.  I can't even make a straight line or anything looking like brick, but I think with the sassy cat in the window, it sort of works.  It was fun to say the least.

The reason I wanted to add brick was because I had first colored the inside of the house with the cat looking back out the window as an outside view with floating clouds.  Then I realized that the cat was indoors and the flowers were outdoors, so coloring clouds on the inside was NOT ideal.  I am hoping the inside represents wall paper now.  Oh well.

Card Chain Challenge May Fast Food Fun

This is my first card using this fun stamp set that I couldn't resist at Sunny Studio and what's a stamp without a die?   I went for a simple design that was crisp and fun.  The sentiments in this set are lots of fun.  I used two of these sentiments for my Card Chain Challenge partner, Greta and I think she will find the card fun too.

I used R24, R,25 and R29 on the ketchup bottle and outside of the cola cup.  I found R59 to be great for the actual cola color.   I had to move my markers and I don't have all the colors I used, but E01 was a basic color with which to start on the bun and other brown items.

Smile, It's a May full of Flowers for A2Z Scrapbooking

I thought this yellow flower would be perfect for the month of May and just a nice way to say "hi" to a friend who might need a smile.  It's bright and sunny which I feel should bring the sun to anyone.  The die cut piece on the left side of the flower reminds me of a vine growing up a trellis.  I hope you like this little creation.

Bugaboo Floral Trio Times 3

Check out Die Cut Divas to enter the Flower Challenge this month.  I printed this trio three times and colored one of each flower while leaving the others black and white.  I thought a scallop edge would work with the squares.  I used the same Copic colors on the sentiments that I used on the flowers and added Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Magnolia in Purple for A2Z Scrapbooking

While I was looking for magnolias on Pinterest, I saw some purple, YES Purple, magnolias.  Mine did not turn out quite like the ones I saw, but I'll claim artistic license.  I ran some Washi tape diagonally  and added a sentiment.  Have fun with your flower entries for this month.

Bugaboo Flower Shelf

I've been practicing coloring to show light shining on different shaped surfaces and I had a lot of fun with this particular image with lots of shapes to practice coloring.  First I made the card without a sentiment, but felt it was missing something and it was.  This would work for a Mother's Day card for a friend.

A2Z Scrapbooking Flower Frame

I was in the mood for something simple and fun to color.   May is usually associated with flowers after April showers and A2Z Scrapbooking has a challenge this month in tune with May flowers.  I used light touches of color and used Y00 to shade in the framing.  I really like the simplicity of this card.

Have fun and color in your flowers at the A2Z Scrapbooking challenge.
