Morgan's Hello Ducky

I couldn't resist this cute duck image.  Ducklings always are so cute, so I hope you see a cute baby duck here.I thought a cute sentiment would be appropriate and all I could think of was something like this, "Hello Ducky", meaning "hello darling". I hand cut an extra egg with flowers inside the egg coming out the bottom and glued the right side, but glue dotted the left side so there is a definite lift on the left side which makes it very 3 D, but I had a bit of trouble showing that in my photos.

Tags are usually fun to make, but I had a die set that I wanted to play with and had to think out of the box, or cup on this challenge.  Here are the results, Tea Cup Tags.  I made a couple for Christmas time and two for birthdays or other happy events.  Each tag has a teacup shaped panel behind it so a message could be included. This post is also at Dies R Us.

July's CCC Partner

It's time for another card exchange and I wanted something summery to send to my card partner for the month.  As soon as I saw this image, I had to cut it out with my Silhouette.  I used Distress Oxides for the background and die cut a circle to put behind the large Palm.  The card seemed to fall into place as some do. I'd love to be on a tropical island today, but (sigh), I'm not.

I hope my friend likes this.

See the options below for the Card Chain Challenge
I chose Beach as my theme - Palm trees with that background means beach to me.
List of supplies listed below.

I had several options.

Calendar For Show

It's a Dies R Us month for Die Cut Divas with an "Anything but a Card" challenge

This post is on the Die Cut Divas' blog right here.

I've had this Tim Holtz calendar for more than three years and with working, stamping and otherwise busy, I only took it out and said I'll get to it later.  Later finely came.  And YES, it took a lot of time to cover everything with patterned paper, then determine what die cuts to use on each paper, cut the images and finally arrange and attached them, keeping in mind what patterns and images might be next to the tab I was working on.  Most of the time, the tabs work well together.

LOTS OF PHOTOS:

All Completed Months Laid Out

All Completed Days Laid Out

All Completed Dates 0 - 3 Laid Out

All Completed Dates 0 - 9 Laid Out

Finally, a completed Calendar
My BLUE MONDAY is a bit dark to show up well.

This was a lot of work, but it was well worth it.

Supplies:
Lots of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies available at Dies R Us
Local King Rubber Stamps and Dies- only the snowman tab
Sizzix ABC - I used only the numbers
Crafty Sentiments Designs - boy on chair
February is a commercial card of a house

Morgan's Kid Playing

I claimed this image as soon as I saw it.  The scene reminds me of some of the village houses when I lived in Germany The scene reminds me of by-gone days when kids used to play with their boasts in a tub.  I used as many different greens on the grounds, bushes and trees as I could.  I think it turned out well.

A2Z Flowering Magnolia in White

This month the A2Z Scrapbooking challenge is "Birthday Bash".  Since I had my Magnolia stamp out, I switched from silver embossing powder to white.  I have seen so many cards in silvers and white, that I couldn't pass up trying the white embossing and I'm calling this the "white edition". I decided a nice tag for a birthday gift would be perfect to accompany the card.

Tag below

Even though the distress color looks different on the tag, the same distress ink was used and the tag is the more realistic color shown.

A2Z Hero Arts Silly Scape Duel

Char and I are dueling again. The Hero Arts Digital Kit, Silly Scape is lots of fun.  I remember when I saw my friend, Dawn Turley, use it on the A2Z Scrapbooking blog some years ago.  I was so captivated by it that I purchased it right away.  I have a chance to use this kit again.

Remember you can print a digi any size you want.  I printed the could and city several times because I wasn't sure how I wanted to make the card.  In the end, I die cut the "friend" from the cloud pattern and fussy cut the city scape.  I cut the dark aqua building with the front two buildings separately and adhered them to the city, then I cut just the pinkish building and adhered that on top of the rest of the buildings.  I like the depth in real life.  Have fun coloring and making wonderful projects.

A Professional and Serviceable.Folder

A folder for men or women, professional and serviceable.  Check out Die Cut Divas to join our challenge for July, Anything But A Card.

Since the challenge for this month is to make something other than a card, I needed to make a folder for my Toastmaster speeches and evaluations so I could identify my folder from others in my file cabinet.  I didn't want to go too crafty with this folder, but just needed a label.  The key is the key to unlocking your own success through Toastmasters.

I've done two different labels, the first one was my first attempt and the second label is for more folders for our Toastmasters' club for their online manuals.

Second label, which I like better than the first.

It's An A2Z Birthday Bash

This month the A2Z Scrapbooking challenge is "Birthday Bash".  I was in the mood for flowers.  If I have to get something special out, I usually will do more than one project or card.  I have seen so many cards in silvers and white, that I couldn't pass up trying this myself.  I'll call this the "silver edition".

I used a digital sentiment and stamped the panels with the Flowering Magnolia
(matching die is available)

I stamped bot cards with VersaMark ink and then embossed the images with a very old Silver embossing powder (but it still works beautifully).  On the card below, I sponged distress inks, shabby shutters, twisted citron and ripe persimmon after embossing.  I dropped and spritzed water on the background and die cut the panels to adhere to a card.

Close-up below

Rather than create a background as in the first card, I chose a red ombre panel and stamped a background, embossed it in silver and added a digital "Happy Birthday" across the bottom.
