Anything Goes with The Creative Crafters in October

The Creative  Crafters starts a monthly challenge every 15th of the month and I've made what's called the Impossible Fold Card as inspiration for this month.  This challenge is always "Anything Goes".

Be sure to join The Creative  Crafters challenge!

I really love how this combination of design and colors works so well and fits an A2 size envelope - just watch how high the figure you put on the main panel is.  Check before you glue.  It's like measure twice before you cut.  AND big tip:  DO NOT GLUE the other panels down until you have correctly folded the card.  For the life of me, I had no idea why my folding didn't match the video.  That was a "DAH" moment.  Watch this  Brass & Bliss Video to put the card together and once you have, it's a no-brainer.
Also, die cut another panel in white for the back of this card so you can write a little note for the recipient.

Supplies:
Brass & Bliss Impossible Fold Die
Brass & Bliss In Case You Get Cold stamp set
Brass & Bliss In Case You Get Cold Coordinating Die
My Favorite Things Hand Stamped Original stamp set
Altenew Enamel Dots Red Sunset - stars
Copic markers

A Card from Friday and Craft Roulette

Craft Roulette and World Card Making Day

On Friday, I watched Craft Roulette and heard the word Snow Globe, I new right away what kind of card I was going to make.

Episode # 235, 62nd card
Project: No Single A2 Fold (Globe card)
Colors: Mood Board - Blue Mood (meaning I like blue)
Element: World (a globe is a world)
Random: Star (a single star)

Everything is blue, black, white or gold and I really like it.  Everything is sparkly except the inside of the card.  I don't think you could ever go wrong in designing this wonderful landscape.  This time I did not add any decoration or sentiment to the base of the globe and I do like the clean feel of this.

Supplies:
Poppy Stamps Snow Globe
Glitter paper in stash
Vagabond die cut machine

September Reveal for Card Chain Challenge

Reveal Time for the Card Chain Challenge

When I saw the Inlaid Die Cut option, I knew that's where my heart was.  I wasn't sure of exactly what die I was going to use, but...  I used the postage stamp dies.  I never used the inside dies before and I thought why not now.  I inserted white panels into the empty spaces "inlaid them" and it worked out great.  There is one inlay under the lamp shade that doesn't show up, but the other two are at the bottom left.  I used Nuvo drops on the flowers under the lamp and on top of the tree to give this more depth, although I did pop up the entire Postage die.

Even thought there are inside and outside items on the card, I still think it's cohesive.

Why don't you join us?  Sign up here
but be sure to mail your homemade card.

October with Morgan's Artworld

"Anything Goes" October 1st to October 27th

You can use any image or project you have posted in October to enter Morgan's ArtWorld challenge
For purchasing Morgan's ArtWorld Images, please visit the website at:

Morgan's Fitzsimons Art Studio

I think everyone likes cute animals and I wanted to color this charming kitty.  The greyscale figures are usually quite easy to color and everyone can think you're an extraordinary colorist.  I think this kitty is just adorable and so easy to color.  I used my Copic markers and used those wonderful earth tones for the kitty and the wood on the right.  I die cut the left and bottom sides a little off, so had to "fix" it so it didn't look like the scene just ended with a white line on the left and bottom sides.
Supplies:
Morgan's Arworld Kitten 4 Greyscale
Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched Rectangle dies
Waffle Flower Hello Friend Combo
Copic markers
Vagabond die cut machine

Let's Have Some Fun With My Favorite Things!

The Sponsor for Die Cut Divas' October challenge is My Favorite Things.

You could win a $25 gift card to spend at My Favorite Things.

The Challenge is "Anything Goes on a Card For World Card Making Day"

World Card Making Day is on Saturday, October 5, 2024
It's an annual event that celebrates card makers around the world and encourages people to start making holiday and winter cards early. The day was created by Paper Crafts Magazine in 2006 and is celebrated on the first Saturday of October each year.

Your entry for the challenge has to be a card and you must use a die cut machine and/or embossing machine to die cut or emboss your card.

I left the entire truck die set in one large set of white heavy card stock without cutting the individual pieces to color after they were cut.  You could cut out different colored cardstock also as the individual dies are arranged where you could easily do so.  When I die cut the Ice Cream dies, I left those as they come also.

There are so many little dies that are easy to misplace or just use, that I think you would do the same  I colored every thing that isn't white with Copic markers.  The background is Copic opaque white dapped on with my finger.  I am happy with my Ice Cream truck even though my ice cream cones are not perfect.
I know, Artist's option to be original.
