Last Day of the Month and Loving Waffle Flower

Die Cut Divas' Sponsor in July Sponsor: Waffle Flower

The theme is Christmas In July!

You only have until 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time to enter the  Die Cut Divas' challenge.

The Prize: $15 gift card

I had a crazy idea to use the Waffle Flower Beach Tote dies for Christmas, and I think it works.  I had papers I've kept for at least a decade and I finally felt some of them would work.  They're not so bad. They work. Yes!

I made up four totes, 2 with the snowflakes, 1 with snowmen and the other with a red plaid paper. I used the Waffle Flower Sweet Plaid Texture die, Holiday Cheer stamps & dies as well as Nuvo Dropss on all 3 cards.  Depending on where the tote was positioned, the places I placed the dots make each card unique on the background panel.

My tag is first.  The back is a large enough space to write "from" and "To" with a little note or sentiment.

The theme is Christmas In July

July Sponsor for Die Cut Divas: Waffle Flower

The theme is Christmas In July!

Too Hot?  Make it Feel Like Christmas!

The Prize: $15 gift card

I couldn't stop working with Waffle Flower dies.

I started with the Trees and I guess I ended with the trees.  I've used this die cut before and had several of the large triangle pieces all by their lonesome.  After I made these two cards, an easy design to make for your Christmas cards, I had leftovers from previous cuts.

Next I looked at the triangle pieces and had one pink piece that I wanted to use up so I made a Christmas tag.

Then I had triangle pieces to use up. I used Snow on the green background and just layered the trees and used a sentiment.  This is more dramatic than it looks here.

Start Your Xmas Cards For Sure

November With Morgan's ArtWorld

The November Challenge for Morgan's Artworld is

"Anything Goes" November 1st to November 27th.

You can use any image or project you have posted in September. For purchasing Morgan's ArtWorld Images, please visit the website at
Morgan's Fitzsimons Art Studio

I chose the Xmas bundle because I wanted to work with the poinsettia and fussy cut it (very easy to cut).  The flower is actually the little “button” at the tip of the stem, and the petals are leaves called bracts.
This Xmas bundle also comes with a bell, so you have a great deal here on this bundle.

Just Sittin' In The Window

I was playing around with a stamp set I had never used.  Just in time for the Card making crunch before the holidays.

I have been going through my stamps and dies, checking to see if I really DO NEED all of the stamps and dies I have accumulated.  I had already die cut the girl and cat (there is a dog in the die-cut set too).  I just needed to color the window scene, girl and cat.  And done!  I'm happy with the scene and it will be headed out to someone in December.

Supplies:
Rubbernecker Girl in Window stamps & dies
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangle dies (no longer for sale)
Copic markers
Hero Arts card (set of cards w/typewriter on them) foundation
Double sided foam tape under panel & girl in the window
Vagabond die cut machine

A Gnome and A Mailbox

My gnome is sending presents, but it looks like the mailbox is too small, oh, so sad.  LOL
Some Christmas blogs urged me to make a Christmas card and so I have!  I wanted to try some new sprays and I think I overdid it with the green, oh well, maybe the gnome has been drinking too much green beer.   I received these green rectangles a long time ago and cannot remember who sent them to me, but I finally used them to set the scene for a gnome who's trying to fit a few too many packages into that little mailbox.

Supplies:
Rubbernecker Donovan's Gnomes stamps & matching dies
Altenew Postal Heros bundle (stamps & matching dies)
Altenew Angeled Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder

Christmas In July

I'm playing with Elizabeth Craft Designs products this month and enjoying every bit of it, especially adding to my Christmas cards.  You only have until 9:00 p.m. Pacific time to enter the challenge at Die Cut Divas, "Christmas In July"

The prize to the randomly drawn winner is a $25 gift certificate.

I had cut out some left-over designer paper and played with the engine and cars which I think turned out so cute with the patterned paper. I used a dark, deep red paper for the railroad, presents & accessories to the engine. I am so glad one of the DTs on Elizabeth Craft Design's turned the fence into a railroad track because it was a stroke of genius. You just turn the fence around making sure you have taped everything so it cuts off the top of the fence posts only.

Seasons Greetings on a Christmas Kickstart Month

I'm the elf for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge this month.  This challenge is always about Christmas and this month, it's also about MINI-SLIMLINE cards, so get ready, get set, GO!

As guest, I was able to choose the challenge of the month, so if you don't like mini-slimline cards, blame me!  I'll gladly take the blame.

The challenge starts May 2nd at 10:30 a.m. GMT or 2:30 a.m. Pacific time, San Francisco, USA and ends May 30th.

The card base for a mini slimline card is typically 3" X 6" (7.63 X 15.24 cm).   These are approximate sizes and we won't be checking to see if your card meets the exact standard for either size. )

I decided to make a simple but fun card for my first card - first? - yes, I had to make two.  I used the same darling Santa in both my mini-slimline cards.

Second Card below
Supplies used on both cards:
Whimsy Classic Santa digital stamp
Momenta Nested Borders Rectangles
Distress Ink Vintage Photo
Copic markers

Card 1
Tim Holtz Alterations Embossing folder - (older folder)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Igloo (sign)
I believe the sentiment "Stay Warm" is from Elizabeth Craft Designs

Card 2
Elizabeth Craft Designs Sleigh - sleigh (sleigh only)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Santa's Sleigh  Gifts & trees from paper scraps)
The Paper Studio Embossing folder (older folder)

I'd like to enter the challenges:

Hero Arts Holiday Greenery Dies Create An Easy Card

Please visit A2Z Scrapbooking and enter our challenge.

I saw the Holiday Greenery Edge used in the Hero Arts (HA) Catalog, but wondered how it would look with two dies, opposed to each other on a card.  I was surprised to see that a white background and green die cut was a smart, sharp combination.  I like the inspiration this HA page gave me..
Here is my inspiration card for A2Z Scrapbooking.

I used Nuvo Red Berry to do the berries on the die-cut and joined them together with berries facing the outside of the card.  A glittery gold tape conceals the space where the dies join.  A small stamped "Merry Christmas" completes the card.  Simple and simply delightful to look at.
