Love An Eerie Sky

I really love the background on this card.   You know when you have an idea in mind of what you want a creation to look like and it doesn't always work out?  Well, this worked out better than I imagined it would.  I thought it would look decent, but I'm loving the way all the colors fade and merge into each other, including what I was thinking of as green grass.

Bugaboo Digi Stamps is the sponsor for Die Cut Divas this month

I knew I wanted to work with a circle concept because of the nature of the image.  Our challenge is using a mood board as our inspiration.
MOOD BOARD

The image was such that all it needed was color and I think I gave it color!

I knew I wanted to use this image because I also made it to send to my Card Chain Challenge partner, Lucille.  The October challenger here is now closed, but I was able to put Autumn and a cat into the challenge options for October.  You always have four options and one is always friendship.   The November challenge is now open here.  It's great to receive cards from other artists and crafters from all over the world.

Those eyes are looking at you!

Bugaboo Digi Stamps Happy Halloween Cat
Die Cut leaf from a fellow card artist colocred with black Copic marker
Nuvo Crystal Drops Ebony Black and Ripened Pumpkin

From Graveyard to Globe

I just had too much fun with the MOOD BOARD and Bugaboo Stamps that I kept making cards.  I am going to have to watch that.

I think the color combo worked so well for the creepy zombie scene.  It was so much fun, really, just making fun changes from color to color.

Using the same color combo, this globe card turned out so very pretty.

I cut the butterflies from the globe (I cropped the butterflies so I didn't waste paper) and colored them as well as parts of the inside of the globe in light blue-green. (BG0000 Some Nuvo Crystal Drops complete the scene

Beep Beep at the A2Z Scrapbooking Challenge

We’re changing things up at A2Z Scrapbooking for our monthly challenge here at a2z and our challenge winner for October’s Watercolor challenge will win the Go Wild digital set. If our random winner is also using Hero Arts products, we will add a $20 gift card to the store!

I made a little scene for a holiday trip on a scooter.  Very simple, but fun.  I combined two different techniques here.  For the ground (grass) and part of the blue sky layer above the grass, I used distress markers and a water color brush.  Then I just sponged on the distress ink on the sky and spattered with water.  A few beeps and the vacation sign from the same digital set were added.  Some Glossy Accents and Nuvo Crystal Drops completed the card.

Close-up of the scooter which I fussy cut.

What a beautiful flower to be able to color.  I hope you see a flower as a calming coloring session to let your artistic side out.  Just take it a petal at a time.  I have found so many images at Morgan Fitzsimons' site that I have so enjoyed coloring and eventually make cards.

This is my sample for the "Anything Goes" challenge at Morgan's ArtWorld.  Visit and enter the challenge.  It's an "Anything Goes" challenge, what is there to lose?

Don’t forget that you have 90 minutes to complete your project. The Scramble ends October 15 at 9:00 a.m.PDT (12 noon EDT) so be sure to post by then!

Here are some samples for you.  I'm afraid I didn't get the entire first card in the photo.  The outside layer is white.  I used the jar with all kinds of little images and fun dies to work with from a few Winters ago and also the bow is from Hero Arts Red Christmas Felt too..   (Winter Scene)

The Christmas cups from last year are one of my favorites,  I used an Ombre ink pad Pool to Navy on the cup and the new Spiral Stencil with Distress Ink Broken China peeking through the stencil. The stars are from Hero Arts Red Christmas Felt from a couple years ago.

Halloween Fun Coloring Contest with House of Morgan Fitzimons and Linda Larsons International

A NEW CONTEST

Free Images to join the Halloween Fun Coloring Contest & Art Challenge - Fae Entertainment - House of Morgan Fitzimons and Linda Larsons International

To find out more about the contest, please visit A Perfect Time To Craft.to learn all about it and to download your free image.

I thought this little ghost was so cute.  A bit of sparkle never hurt a ghost either.

I used a cute ghost and I have a confession to make.  I used cream colored paper to print my ghost out.  It looked white last night.  LOL... So my little ghost got a bit of coloring and sparkle to take the focus off of a cream colored ghost, not a white ghost.

Supplies:
Pumpkin Ghost from Fae Entertainment
Copic markers YR09, YR12, YR14YG01, YG03, YG61 and 100
Nuvo - ebony black on the eyes and bottom panel with ripened pumpkin for the inside of the pumpkin Crystal Drops
Wink of Stella - clear
Elizabeth Craft Designs papers Through the Lens Series
Different sized leaves cut with my Cameo
Die-namics Pierced Circle STAX dies

Autumn Owl to Winder Fairy

Be sure to play with the Die Cut Divas for the October MOOD challenge.  It should be fun and get you in the mood for Autumn. Our sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and they have some darling images.

MOOD BOARD

My cards for October 7th were fun to color and this owl scene was quite an easy scene to create. That little owl just makes me smile.

It was so much fun to add Nuvo Crystal drops to this little owl's eyes and the nails on the fence.  I love how Nuvo makes that pumpkin glisten.

I hope you like this little scene and the closeup.

I couldn't help myself. I had to see how a Winter fairy would look in Autumn colors, using the mood board above.  I think she turned out fantastic.  I actually love the leggings.  I hope you are inspired to go Autumn.

Hero Arts You're So Nice

At A2Z Scrapbooking, it's all about watercolor for the month of October, so water color to your heart's content.  Check out the new contest rules too.

I have a friend and she makes the most fabulous quilts, but not just quilts, handbags, totes and cute vests with all kinds of beads.  Amazing work.  I wanted to make her a card, JUST BECAUSE she is my friend.  You know how you go to work and have work friends and home friends.  We started working together MANY years ago and took our work relationships out on the road, literally; we went camping to Santa Cruz.  The stories I could tell about the trip down and our long weekend taking in the beach and barbecuing.  Fast forward and retirement is here and I wanted my friend to know how much she has meant to me.

It's a Witchy Day

This October challenge is all about mood.  The challenge begins here. The challenge is all about Mood. Find out about the mood at the challenge.  This is the card I made as a sample.for Die Cut Diva's October Mood Board challenge.

I didn't want the lass to be floating, so I crisscrossed  a jagged floor and made it look creepy with gray shadowing. And it didn't have to be perfect, but rather a unique imperfect floor. I do love the SunBonnet series, of which this is only one.

Supplies:
Bugaboo Digital Stamp Sunbonnet Witch
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles
Copic markers
Vagabond die cut machine
Purple/pink sequins
Glossy Accents
