It's A Fancy Fold Kind of Day

I took the challenge at Craft Roulette to make a:
Project: Fancy Fold (Z Fold)
Colors: Aquarium (Greens, pinks & browns)
Element: November (Autumn Leaf or snowmen on paper panels)
Random: 3 item cluster (3 leaves & 3 enamel dots)

I used the leaves, not only as one of my 3 cluster items, but also to show how the leaves change from spring (paler green) to summer (dark green) to autumn (brown, pink & red). Even though it's November, Fall is just now making itself known in California.  The leaves in my front yard are just now turning.

Episode 189

Episode 189 Reveal
The parameters for Craft Roulette are:
Project: A2 size
Colors: Forest Colors
Elements: Starts with "H"
Random: Postage, stamp or mark

I waited until the last minute and finally settled on an old stamp I've never used before.  I don't even know the manufacturer.  The red rubber is attached to a front with much the same stamped colored image as this one  I thought the colors were so good, I used approximately the same general colors used on the plastic front.

Go Wild With A Birthday Card For My Granddaughter

I was playing along with the categories from Craft Roulette which were:
Project: Gift Card
Colors Coffee Shop
Element: Go Wild
Random: Add a number(s)

I then thought these categories, plus a new die set I purchased were perfect for my granddaughter's birthday card.  I added a die cut with the sentiment "Happy Birthday" on the back of the card and I did put a gift card in and mailed it off to her.   I think she will find it fun and especially nice for the holidays.

I took three photos and made a collage to show all the elements.

Close up of the number, coffee colors (browns & orange),  and "Wild" parameters.

October Card Chain Challenge Reveal

October Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I chose bears (well, one bear) to make my card for this challenge. I have one bear in the car being squished in by the other three critters, but a bear is a bear.
I haven't used this filmstrip die in a very long time, but I thought it was just the right die to highlight this fun set of stamps and dies.  I colored a white filmstrip with a Copic marker after I colored all the critters to determine what color I wanted the filmstrip to be.  I created little scenes in each section.  I almost forgot to color the wheels on the car but I do enjoy the fun result.

Supplies:
Kat Scrappiness A2 Filmstrip craft die

Start Your Xmas Cards For Sure

November With Morgan's ArtWorld

The November Challenge for Morgan's Artworld is

"Anything Goes" November 1st to November 27th.

You can use any image or project you have posted in September. For purchasing Morgan's ArtWorld Images, please visit the website at
Morgan's Fitzsimons Art Studio

I chose the Xmas bundle because I wanted to work with the poinsettia and fussy cut it (very easy to cut).  The flower is actually the little “button” at the tip of the stem, and the petals are leaves called bracts.
This Xmas bundle also comes with a bell, so you have a great deal here on this bundle.

A Kat Scrappiness Hello!

It's November and a new challenge is here.

Our sponsor is this month is Kat Scrappiness, (KS) and they are offering a Kat Scrappiness gift package worth $100!  Unfortunately, due to high shipping cost, this prize could only be awarded to a winner (randomly selected) with a valid U.S. address.

The Challenge is:  ANYTHING TO DO WITH HOLIDAYS
(any holiday)

I'm not sure of how many of us send out Thanksgiving cards, but I definitely will be sending out at least one card.  It's pretty simple, but I really like how it came together.  A rainbow doesn't have to be the normal rainbow colors.  My rainbow happens to be Autumn colors.  You might make a Christmas rainbow. My next card has a Christmas rainbow.  Read on.

Card ONE

Card TWO Shaker Card with a Christmas Rainbow
Every single die, paper and enamel dot used on this card is from Kat Scrappiness.

This is a shiny, sparkly card, almost every inch covered with clear Wink of Stella.  I was squeezing every wink out of the Wink of Stella, so it is super sparkly.  I used Copic markers to color the rainbow and sentiment.  I had left-over cuts from a film strip die which I then die-cut with a smaller square die so I could layer the die cut to make a shaker card.  I used a clear top from a take home meal and covered the top with a last layer of paper to make the shaker part.
