Card Patterns...# 61

Card Patterns has a simple sketch to follow for this weeks challenge... Read all about it here.
If you're a beginner in card making, this is perfect for you! For those advanced card makers, embellish it as much as you want! Obviously, this is a super simple sketch, and I think one I'll do more with. I like the very simplicity of it. So join the group.... it'll be fun... it's the process... not the win/loss ratio!

Card Patterns

is having a challenge and I at last have a bit of time to enter. There's a great sketch to follow, so go on, now and enjoy the blog and the challenge.

My entry is a digi hybrid... gads, I feel funny saying (well typing) that... I think this would be a great Father's Day card. The image is from the Hero Arts "The Art of Style" CD. I so love this CD.

Two new ATCs

I created three new ATCs. After my card with the Skyland Birds, I just had to do one for an ATC. I had one more Asian woman stamped and wanted to finish the ATC I had sitting on my desktop, distressing, adding something, not quite finished.... I received the woman in a swap. She has such a sad face. I did some minor coloring and put some Liquid Pearls on her little pendant and as earrings.
I'm really pleased with the Skyland Birds - love distressing!

I've started this first sentence five times already and then after checking flickr and Debborah's blog, then Fika's photos... soooo I'm going to finish this......

The card to the left is for my middle son, Robert... yes, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him! We're going to Claim Jumper for lunch to celebrate his birthday. I thought this would make a nice male card, with a nice colorful background and thought the birdies could sing a song of "Happy Birthday"... hehehe

This image is from the Digital Design Kit "The Art of Style" and I love this kit. There are so many images from this kit that I just absolutely love. I only used the top half of the Skyland image here. I know you can download portions of this from the mini kits on Two Peas, but I am really so pleased that I have this one and it's on DVD so I can take it with me to another computer if I don't have internet access. I just checked Hero Arts website and I don't see that they have this anymore :(

Asian Motif ATCs

I was inspired by a wonderful Inkadinkadoo stamp set with a beautiful Asian woman with parasol to creat first one, then two ATCs. I really do like these. The wonderful Digital Design Kit by Hero Arts, "The Art of Style" has such wonderful designs and vintage women that I wanted to use an "old" map from the kit for my background - love old maps.
Though the map is of the Europian region, I thought some bamboo, flowers and birds might be able to hide the exact details of the map...
These are going to a friend in Asia who makes the most wonderful folded kimonos on her geishas. You may find tengds on Flickr with the most amazing creations!
Got to run... going to see a movie, "Clash of the Titans"....
