A Posey for you

You must know by now how I love my SUN BONNET GIRLS from Bugaboo.  I thought a dash of Lipstick Natural Copic marker would pop the flowers with color but not SHOUT out over the girl.  A little touch of blues and why I chose browns for everything else, I don't know, but I like it.

CCC July Reveal

I sent Greta in Oregon this card, a total "friendship" card.  I love this sentiment.I got to use a little chocolate chip boy from Bugaboo.  Does this make you hungry for chocolate chip cookies?  It does me.  I'm ready for my milk and cookies before I go to bed.  Happy cookie crumbs to somebody out there.  This is the closest I'm coming to an actual cookie tonight.

This is my Chai

Somehow this purple haired Stella connected with this purple hued background and stuck.  She's certainly awfully fond of her chai.  I decided to use some beautiful lace on this card and I'm making it for a friend whose favorite beverage is chai tea.  I made up the sentiment and hope she likes this card especially made for her.

Remember that Bugaboo has 50% off stamps in July.

I know It's Not Monday!

After I announced that I knew it wasn't Monday, I had to go check for sure on my calendar.  I really do think chocolate CAN make up for Mondays.  How about all of you?

I do think this lady is fun and funny.  Gosh these Bugaboo images just color up so fast.  In no time, I've got to find another image to color, tsk tsk.

Yes, the background square scalloped panel is a recycled item - a tissue box, semi-cheap kind, but it certainly does provide a pretty background.  Hope you have some chocolate today too (even if it isn't Monday).

Close-up of the image.  You see that brown button?  It's hiding an opps in coloring - you know OOPS - I've got green mixed in the blue and it doesn't want to go away!

Blue Blue Blue

Blue Blue Blue is the color of this maid.  When I saw they had a maid with a button, I knew I had to have her.  I've got quite an accumulation of these wonderful sun bonnet gals from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I just love coloring them.

We've got a challenge going on at Die Cut Divas for Buttons and Bows.  This gal made the scene with a bow in her bonnet rolling an oversize button.  I couldn't think of a sentiment when I made this, but she'll go to a friend who sews with a suitable note inside..

"Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee"

I thought of naming this Untapped Potential, but then, I thought "Let's be Realistic".  When I drove up with a girlfriend to Reno, Nevada for a Toastmasters' Conference, Lesley made a speech about me waking up feeling full of energy.  Her quote was "Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee".  I think this gal needs her coffee before anyone talks to her.

Bound for the Beach

Put your toes in the sand and have some fun.  This little gal seems bent on going to the shore and digging in the sand.  She's perfect for the California sun.  Though on June 30th, we had 106 degree F. day. That's 41.1111 Celsius.   She would need every bit of protection if she had gone to the beach then.  It went down to mid 90s and now up to 100s again.  I live inland and it's been a dry year for California, but I love the days by the sea, much less heat and a nice ocean breeze.  .

Be sure to check out Die Cut Divas to play in July's challenge , Buttons and Bows.

I Did That?

Do you ever make a card and think, "I did that?".  This is one of those times.  The image is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I thought a little color is all I wanted on the Sketchy Floral Teapot.  Can you believe the different images that you can purchase from Bugaboo, funny and sassy to elegant and stylish?   This is the first time I've cut this die and I have to say I think it's amazing.  I think it would make a fire truck look elegant.   I'm going to hate to give it away.  Hope you like it.

I also have this post up at Die Cut Divas.  Please visit the blog and be sure to enter our July challenge, Buttons and Bows.  You can use a button or a bow or both!

Red, White and Blue Celebrations

July 4th, Independence Day, is the National Day of the United States and is celebrated by fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals and fairs, picnics and concerts, baseball games and family reunions.  There are usually political speeches and ceremonies, and last, but not least, remembering those who have gone before.

Check out Die Cut Divas for today's post and be sure to see what challenge is up here.
The little girl on this card is celebrating too.  I think she turned out rather patriotic I like the way she turned out.  I keep thinking Bugaboo Digital Stamps made her just for me.

Just a little history:  Historians have long disputed whether Congress actually signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, even though Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin all later wrote that they had signed it on that day. Most historians have concluded that the Declaration was signed nearly a month after its adoption, on August 2, 1776, and not on July 4 as is commonly believed.

I hope you like this little gal and this post.

July is HERE!

July is here already.  My goodness, time for some summery fun!

I love this Bugaboo scene - one of my favorites.  The scene always begs coloring because it's such a cheery outlook on life, flowers blooming, ladybugs bugging and green's are greening.  This is my sample card for Die Cut Divas where our wonderful sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps.

Happy and Hot July!
