I'm not really a teddy bear coloring person, but I thought I'd give it a try and I really like how this teddy and his shop turned out.  I thought more earthy colors worked well for this shopkeeper for an Autumn flavor.  Apples are in season and I'm going up to Apple Hill next week to have some great apple pie.

Hero Arts Happy Holidays Christmas Mice

I'd say these Christmas Mice were saying Happy Holidays to you.  I grabbed a piece of 6" X 6" paper and cut it down to fit on the A2 size card for a different look to a holiday card.  I had a "Happy Holidays" panel cut a bit short in my stash that I wanted to use, so this is how I arrived at the design.  Add two mice and a couple dots of Nuvo and we're done.  This looks great in real life.

Be sure to join in the challenge and visit the store for some outrageous sales at A2Z Scrapbooking.

Bat Eared Elephant - BOOOOO

Bat Eared Elephant - BOOOOO

When I saw the challenge to make a Halloween-themed project, I thought about what I had
and then what I didn't have.  I don't do Halloween cards much, not because I don't like
them,  I just haven't given any out in a very LONG time.

I couldn't turn down this challenge at Elizabeth Craft Designs, right here.   I love using dies
in different ways and had made an elephant, which was dark in color and I really didn't
care for it, but waste not, want not.  My imagination went wild and I drew a mask on him,
(having the raccoon in mind) with the tuft of hair also colored in black.  I left him overnight
and work up to thinking of him driving in a spooky jeep and added more black Copic marker
to the ears and trunk.    I found some wonderful ghosts, spider and web in an envelope from
a friend sent a year or so ago.  The eyes glisten with Nuvo black and are outlined with a
uniball pen. Here is my vision come to life.

I had a ball with this.  Even if you don't have many Halloween characters, you can make
something a bit spooky.

Supplies:

Elizabeth Craft Designs Elephant
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectagles
Elizabeth Craft Designs Through The Lens 6" X 6" Metal paper
Black Copic marker
Uni-ball Signo broad tip

A2Z Scrapbooking Holiday Challenge Inspiration

Again, I'm using non-traditional colors to make a Christmas card.  I couldn't help it, the "mice" made me do it!  In this case, it was one mouse, but I'm holding her responsible.  I cut the sentiment in two.  I know, I lose small stuff too, but I had to do it.  I think this is a fun card and I still think it's cute after letting it sit overnight on my desk.

Be sure to check out the sales and enter the challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking   .
Remember, it is our last challenge forever.

Holiday Challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking

A2Z Scrapbooking will be hosting their last challenge this month, October, 2019.  The theme is Holidays, any holidays.    Be sure to pop over for our last monthly challenge and there is a sale going on, so be sure to check the store.Image may contain: text
I know these are strange colors for a Christmas card, but I couldn't resist using this distress colored paper die-cut left over from another card I made.  These mice are cute as a button and I had already die-cut about 20 of these little goodies to use on cards, so I am raring to go for the holidays.

It has been wonderful working with our Linda Crissman and we will miss her.

Frantic Stamper and Fall

Frantic Stamper is the sponsor for Die Cut Divas for the month of October.  Frantic Stamper has so much to offer, stencils, stamps and dies.  Frantic Stamper carries their own brand as well as many other well known brands, such as Altenew and Elizabeth Craft Designs.  What a great prize too, priced at $25.99.

The challenge for October is Fall or Fall Colors.  You can work with the wonderful Fall colors or any holidays in October - for Americans, it's Halloween, so work your FALL MAGIC for us.

I had to use this raccoon and bushes for my post because he's adorable and I thought the mushroom and colors added to a Fall appeal.  That raccoon is really just adorable, but I have more animals and will have to use them this month to show you how cute they are.  I know, either promises or threats!
