Another Christmas Card Done!

I just received an Altenew stamps and matching dies and had to use them.  They were much larger than I expected and so I made a slimline card to fit the cabin and the kids sledding.  However, I had some issues with my glue.  I was adding my white Nuvo drops and also had my glue out beside it, using my glue when I thought I needed a piece to stay flat... and OOPS.  As I was spreading what I thought was Nuvo drops all OVER the white snow, I realized too late that indeed, it was GLUE.  I picked up the Nuvo and tried covering where I thought the glue had gone, but there were many sticky places.  I solved the problem Elizabeth Craft Designs Warm Diamond Glitter.  I figured if it stuck, it covered the glue.

I know you can see the places I used Copic markers to sort of blend in the sky and images, but it's not as apparent in real life.   I'm still happy with this card.  I had other issues with cutting the main panel too small for the frame, so I'm just glad it's all in one piece.

You MUST be a DT on any Design Team in the World to be eligible to enter this Challenge ~ New exception rule, this challenge is now open to any of Julia Spiri Facebook Members, and you are not required to be on a DT.

I needed a birthday card and this is perfect for counting sheep and not birthdays, right? In Word, I added the text box with the note "Count Sheep, Not Birthdays".  In retrospect, I should have used a different font.  The matting panel is colored with the darkest Copic color on the sheep.

Creative and Organized?

I made myself clean up my desk as I had new dies all over the place.  I did create two items though, one a small card or tag and the other a mini-slimline card.

I've used this Santa in another small card or tag (not sure what I will ultimately use it for).  I do like the background I used on my other card better, but I like this one too.  Supplies for both cards are at the bottom of this post.

The next time I color this cute image, I will make the dragon yellow or at least have more color.  I do like my old truck though.  The trim is ribbon that I've had for years.

Card Chain Challenge Reveal for September

The Card Chain Challenge is not just a challenge, but a get-together of card makers who put their heart into sending something they've made to one of the world-wide card makers who sign up for the challenge.

Below are the challenge directions for the September challenge.  You can sign up for the October Challenge at Card Chain Challenge, so be sure to check out the challenge for October.

I had several choices and I don't usually do a lot of flowers, but I thought I'd use the Altenew Book Club stamp and die set.  I die cut the Mini Slimline Embossed Edge Die and stamped the Altenew Book Club onto the panel, colored it and then cut the circle in the Book Club to raise the sentiment.  I die cut the sentiment, put glue on the wrong side of the die, so I just added another die and adhered the sentiment to the circle.

Now you may be wondering why I listed the Mini Slimline Diamond Wire & Wood Grain Frame Die set when it looks like I didn't use it, but you see, I did use only the border, cutting out the diamond part of the die by hand.  I thought I'd try it and I'm satisfied with it.   I do love the colors I used.  I'm sent this to Joanne in the UK.

It's The Beginning Of A Scrapflower estudio Month At Die Cut Divas

I played around with a cute gnome from Scrapflower estudio, a new sponsor for Die Cut Divas.  Sharing my efforts here as well as at Die Cut Divas.
The challenge is "Anything Goes".

The sponsor's prize will be 4 digi stamps of the winner's choice.

The Scrapflower Estudio image I used has an image with a blank sign and the other image has a sign bearing the sentiment "Merry Christmas" (the image I used).   After I finished coloring, I thought I had too much brown, but now that it's mounted, I'm good with the color.  I used white Nuvo drops on the red patterned paper and popped the (manually cut out) image on foam tape.
