Di's Digi's Friends FURever

Today is the last day of our challenge over at Die Cut Divas and it's all about the animals.   The challenge ends at 9:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.  I used a small kit to make this card.  I just love the puppies and this is the first time I've printed a digital image on the front of an envelope.  I certainly will be doing more of this when I get the chance.

Pre-Colored Di's Digi Digi

It's all still about the animals at Die Cut Divas.
Be sure to enter here.

Di's Digi Stamps has some wonderful COLORED images as well as black and white.  I bought both of these wonderful digital stamps (black and white and colored).  I used a COLORED image here.  I did touch up the blue, yellow and pink on the donuts and pink on the mice to give a darker color and pop.  I die-cut the circle and applied Antique Linen to the circle and Ground Espresso to circle outline and give more depth to the bottom of the circle or you could call it a globe.  I applied the same colors to the background scallop with a touch of worn lipstick.

I had this scalloped square with the other edges already on it - who knows what I was going to use if for, but I've now used it to good advantage.   I pop dotted the circle and put a die-cut "celebrate" on the bottom.

Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I had a hard time deciding what I was going to create to send to my Card Chain Challenge (CCC) recipient and I have not tried many of the files I downloaded from the Silhouette Store.  I found this purse in my stash and thought it would be fun to create.  I did choose some outrageous paper though.  I think everything worked out well in the end.  I sponged a over a die (using it as a stencil) for the envelope.  The more I see matching envelopes, I am taking the time to make some too when I know to whom I am sending the card when I make it.  Make sense?

Thank you to Cindy for sending some wonderful die-cut, gold embossed flowers and leaves to me.  Perfect for this card.

Happy Birthday to Rob

Hey, Birthdays can be celebrated before or after the birthday.  I made a card for my middle son, Rob and will give it to him today.  I decided to try an unused file from Silhouette by Lori Whitlock and a little trial and error on my part came out pretty well.  But I didn't think about the measurements and my card is too big for most of my envelopes, so next time I'll reduce the size.  I didn't want anything girly, so chose chocolate for the cake bottom and a cream colored frosting.

When you pull the sides, the "51" pops up.

I have had this beautiful image printed out for several months and decided this was the time to color it and I wanted something different, not red or yellow, but blue.  I wasn't sure of my colors at first, but as I went on, I fell in love with the colors.

I did write the colors down, but mislaid them so I'm afraid I can only guess, but I believe I used some B00, B02 and B14 for the flowers with perhaps G40, G17, but really not sure.  Try your colors and see what you can do.  I think you'll like this classic flower.

I think this would make a good Get Well card.

Di's Digi Get Well

Time for a new challenge over at Die Cut Divas and it's all about the animals.  I needed a "get well" card for a friend who is having wrist surgery and thought this would be perfect.  It's like wrapping everything, including the wrist and having fun too.  I thought the ribbons were a reminder of being wrapped up in gauze and putting a nice yellow bow on top.  I really like the bright red and yellow here.  You never know when a leftover piece of yellow patterned card stock will come in handy.

I added more dots to the ground to create a whole floor.  I thought it turned out to be very cute.
