TWO CARDS for the price of one! 
Yes, I love working with MFT products. 

I've had great fun playing with this elephant set and Outside the Box set, so I made a birthday card for my granddaughter.  Matched with houndstooth paper, I thought it was adorable.  You can never be too old to enjoy this cute card.

To make the butterflies look airborne, I cut a plastic lid (after I washed it) into sections to provide a bit more support and yet be fairly see through.

I think this gives you a better view of the card.

I have a second card for you! I didn't think I had enough Birthday cards, so decided on a summer scene background and lots of balloons.

A Cute Birthday Card - All From My Favorite Things Products

Just a little reminder to join Die Cut Divas for their Birthday Challenge.

A cute Birthday Card for you with the following parameters set by Craft Roulette's Turn of the Wheel on Friday.

# 174 - Project: Circle - wheel & headlights on car
Colors: Wizard of Oz - Ruby red, Yellow brick road, green fields
Elements: On the Road - black road with white stripe on left side
Random: Add Wings - bees with wings

Here is my take on the above categories.  I started with the scene from an old calendar (the mountains are covered by the "black road" piece on the left side) and added a bright red car.  I now wish I had made gold side mirrors instead of black because the left mirror blends in with the black road.  I added green grass, flowers and bees. (The flowers are in pots, but I hid the pots behind the grass).  I colored the front and side panels with a Y08 Copic marker.  I do love the color.  I quite like the result and didn't realize that I chose these wonderful My Favorite Things products.  I mean the bee driving this car is outrageous fun!  It is so cute in real life.

Gingerbread Man

 I made a cute Gingerbread Man against a brick wall and had a background that I tore the previous top off that I didn't care for.  I think it worked out fine.

I, however, made a big mistake.  DO NOT color the eyes Black before finishing the face around the eyes.  I made the best of it and think he's ok to send to a friend.

Sounds Weird, right?   Well, it is weird.

Craft Roulette's wheel of fortune was not so fortunate in its randomness.
Project: Window - houses by the shore have vellum windows
Colors - Bird colors of blue and brown
Element - By the Pond - a large pond by the houses
Random - paper clip holds a tag for a friend

This was a quirky challenge #173).   I think this works for the quirky side of me.

#172 Z-Fold Card

My first Z-Fold card and it was so easy.  I don't know why I never did one before.  Just forget all the measuring and fold an A2 size card front panel in half with the fold being turned back from the card.  Ok, much easier than that sounded.

The parameters for this episode of Craft Roulette was:
Project: Z-fold card - why I made a Z-Fold card (LOL)
Colors: Any Colors (how easy was that?)
Element: Old - the stamp sentiment is a Stampin' Up 1995 wood block stamp
(Simple pleasures are life's greatest treasures)
Random: Something from my "mesk" (messy desk) - calendar page

1. I took a kraft A2 size card and measured 1/2 of the front card to fold back.

2. I folded it in half and covered with patterned paper.
3. I chose a strip of checkered yellow & white card stock & closed the front to see where to glue the strip on the inside of the card.
4. I die cut the calendar panel, black cardstock & then the inside patterned paper.
5. I adhered the calendar panel to the black paper & glued them to the front 

6. I adhered the patterned paper to the other black paper & glued them to the inside (To match the inside of the black panel with the outside black panel, I put the Patterned paper panel front against the back of the outside calendar panel so the glue would be facing the inside, but matching the black panel on the outside.  I put the card face down on the table and held the panels together as I closed the back down onto the glued panel.  It worked like a champ.

All done and I'm very happy with it.  It will be on its way to it's intended victim, umm friend.  No coloring either - unbelievable.

I know the exact person I'm going to send this to, my granddaughter for whom I've given several Steam Punk items for Christmas, such as the goggles on this dear gal.  My granddaughter looks just as cute too.  LOL

I sponged the dots on the image panel lightly as I didn't want them overtaking the beauty on the panel.  I sponged more heavily on the main panel and I really like the results.  I didn't realize I had sponged a couple dots on the hat, but that mistake turned out to be a lovely addition.

Two Folds, Planter Colors, Happy Face and Something Old

 What do you do with
Two Folds, Planter Colors, Happy Face and Something OLD?

That's what I said and that's what came up on Craft Roulette.  Everyone has a unique something OLD, don't they?  

Here's what I did for a card containing these four categories.  First, I was running late and so the first card is the one I submitted with only hours to go.  However, I did work on it the next day and it turned out very cute.  If I'd left the windows off, I would have put something behind them, but I'm ok with the way my windows look.  I forgot to save my original

A Craft Roulette Picnic?

 Craft Roulette Play Time

You might say everyone had a picnic on the Craft Roulette wheel turning, fun spinning evening.  

I made two cards and one new die snuck into both of them.  A few dies made it into my house from Altenew on Friday morning and I wanted to try the one that had a "congrats" built into the die frame for a birthday card.  When the unused section fell free of the die, I HAD to use the inside sections too, so instead of one card, it became two.

Lots of Play Time Today With My Favorite Things

I've been playing and having fun with My Favorite Things stamps and dies.  Hopefully this will inspire everyone to find their happy crafty spot and enter the Die Cut Divas' challenge for July - Birthdays.

I know Our Story is a 2016 stamp w/matching dies set, but I didn't buy this set until 2022 and it is such a fun set to use for just about any occasion.   I love the box which so easy to put together and its versatility is second to none.  What a great surprise for someone when they open this card and can display its uniqueness.  What fun!
