Is It Really The Last Day for A Poppy?

Die Cut Divas is having a challenge sponsored by Poppy Stamps, so please do visit and enter the challenge, but you only have until 9:00 p.m. tonight to do so.

The challenge is "Sympathy".

Even though the challenge is sympathy, I decided to make a Christmas card with the exact same dies I used in my sympathy card, but with a change of sentiment.
I'm actually gaga over both of them.  The two frame dies are just gorgeous together and they don't look like anything great when you look at the dies.

I also used the same two frame dies here.
Supplies for both cards::
Poppy Stamps Evangeline Pinpoint Frame
Poppy Stamps Pointy Lattice Plate
Copic markers
Vagabond die cut machine

1st card:
Poppy Stamps Diamond Sentiments clear stamps & die set (Sale: $10)

2nd Card

Craft Roulette 6" X 6" was Way out of my Comfort Zone

 Parameters, Parameters!
Here Come The Parameters for my 61st card.
Project: 6" X 6" Card - yes, it's big!
Colors: Rainbow - background especially
Element: Guest Choice is "Single Flower" - Rose
Random: Cloth - ribbon is cloth

I looked through all my stamps (forgot to check my wood stamps, but I don't think any are single flowers) and here is the only one I could find from the Waffle Flower stencils.  I rearranged the postage die cuts all kinds of different ways and finally got this and I'm happy with it.  I haven't seen too many elephants or mice eating cupcakes, but they are here.  The white Nuvo drops took on the mostly blue color of the background and even though it's an accident, I really love the hint of blue.

Supplies:
Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die

Another Christmas Card

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge featuring Embossing Folders gave me a kick in the pants to make a card.  It's quite simple, but sweet.

Time For Another Craft Roulette Challenge

I knew what I wanted to use for leaves, but not what colors I wanted to use for the die cut.  I didn't like my first die-cut, but I'm ok with the second.

The parameters are:
Project: Congratulations Card (Sentiment - Congratulations)
Colors: Hummingbirds (Reflective colors from the Leaf Die Cut)
Element: Best Friend(s) (Sentiment - Friend)
Random: Add Leaves ( Leaf Die Cut)

I had a highly reflective 12" X 12" piece of paper in my paper stash and it works out quite well here.  I love the different colors reflected when the light hits.

I think this is more of a guy card with sharp cuts of silver, rather than a feminine card.  Yes, these are leaves, but just not Green leaves.
Supplies:
Birch Press Forest Canopy Layer B (not on website
Birch Press Awesome Ticker Tape Messages (no matching dies)-not on website

Poppystamps Makes Easel Cards Easy

I love working with the Poppy Stamps and dies to make Easel cards.  This die set seems to be so versatile and could be used for all kinds of situations and events, just as I used it here for a Sympathy card.

Die Cut Divas is having a challenge sponsored by Poppy Stamps, so please do visit and enter the challenge.  I would.
The challenge is "Sympathy".

This is the second time I've used this beautiful die set.  I immediately thought of using a softer color combination than my first card and I hadn't used the inner oval die on the first card.  I chose soft pink and dark Maroon red cardstock from my stash.  Let me tell you, the colors play off each other beautifully.  I added some of the flower dies and a butterfly with two of the numerous sentiments from another set.  I could change this from sympathy to a "missing you" card any time.

Anything Goes!

I've had the two background dies for a LONG time, but for some reason, I haven't used them much, if at all.  Sad case of affairs because I do love the way they pair up.  I just used the top of the digital stamp instead of the whole figure.

Craft Roulette French Bulletin Board

To the challenge:
Project: French Bulletin Board (background quilted die)
Colors: Winter Dessert(s) (pies in winter, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin)
Element: Balloons - (yes there are balloons)
Random: Bead(s) -(stickers that look like beads)

I had no idea what a French Bulletin Board was, so I looked it up. It can be something very simple that would have some kind of clips to hold items to a board.  The board could be made of cloth with ribbon crisscrossed to hold items.

This board is very simple

This board is made of cloth with ribbon crisscrossed over the top

At first I was going to leave the background white, but decided to use some Distress Oxide inks and I'm glad I did - it brought out the quilted background.  I really like these fun elephants - honestly - isn't really fun to see elephants holding regular balloons just hanging in the air?
Supplies:
My Favorite Things SY Unforgettable Birthday
My Favorite Things Adorable Elephants (no longer on MFT site)
Kat Scrappiness A2 Quilted Background Die
Copic markers
Starform glitter stickers
Distress Oxide inks Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey & Worn Lipstick

New for Me Poppy Stamps Die Set Used for Craft Roulette

Another Play with Craft Roulette Parameters

The parameters from Friday night's Craft Roulette.

Project: outside/inside
Colors: tulips
Element: festival
Random: check(s)

I just received some new dies (this easel set has been in the shop for awhile, but I couldn't help myself this time and picked it up.  I didn't even use one die because I so loved the colors of the panel that I didn't want to cover it up. This really looks like a Fall card because of the colors, which is perfect for an Autumn card.
I did make a mistake on using the Nuvo drops - I thought Copper Penny would really show up on the red flowers (no), so I added a Yellow on top.

My inside/outside is the sentiment strip stopper for this easel card when it is standing up.  The sentiment is on the inside, but in this position, it is also outside.
I took the tulip colors in oranges, reds, yellows and greens (stems).
Element: It's a festival of flowers on my card.
Random: I almost forgot to put a check mark on my card, but it's there on the sentiment.

Side view

This really is a breath-taking card because of the bright colors.

Scrap paper (almost gone now - sigh)
Copic markers for the flowers & butterflies
Crystal Drops - Copper Penny

August Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I still love snail mail! Here are the parameters for our August Card Chain Challenge and I has so much fun.

I think these little rascals needed to come out to play a little bit.  I don't think I've ever made a rocker card before and instead of measuring the round die-cut, I just bent it in two and made sure it was equal on both sides.  I didn't want to try to fiddle with the patterned paper and just cut it in half to fit both sides.
I popped up one of the raccoons. They seem to have their own personality.
