Last day of the challenge for something new at Die Cut Divas and I've never used these critters on anything before. I wanted to build a country house and I think I did it. I wondered if I would use the chicken and rooster in the Country Scapes set, but here they are. I think they fit the scene nicely. My bird may be a bit large, but I left him where he was because I think it's rather funny. Hope you like the country. The fun thing about the tree dies is that the the shrubbery for the tree can be the best fluffy clouds too.

The challenge over at Die Cut Divas is new technique, die, stamp, colors, something you're using or trying for the first time. Well, here is something I've never tried before and have been thinking about doing, so here it is. I'm using my die-cuts to expand my die-cut house into a large home. I also am using up scraps.
Here's what I did:
- I glued leftover scraps of paper from different projects onto a piece of copy paper.
- I then die-cut the house
three times from the scrap paper and glued two of the houses onto a piece
of copy paper.
- The long roof is the same width as the roof die and glued on top of the two houses.
- The third house is pop dotted to the top middle of the two houses.
- I die-cut two trim pieces and used one piece to create trim for the back roof, while using the complete trim for the front house
- I cut the chimney twice and layered one piece behind the other.
- I cut four windows and glued them on.
- I cut two doors to create a door with different paper.
- I used a white ink pen to dot the trim. This really lightened up the entire house.
- I found blue card stock and cut to A2 card size and adhered the houses onto the note card.
- I wanted a large sentiment to fit above the house and chose Friend. This is going to my friend, Monica of the Die Cut Divas, who is my exchange person on the Card Chain Challenge (CCC) at the Society of Stampaholics.

Say It With Glitter
Say it with glitter. I think that's fairly appropriate for this card. Quite colorful too. Sometimes you just have to let go with a little razzle dazzle (extremely flashy .colorful..loud .overkill..shiny) was the thing I needed for the new year.
It'll be my wake up card for anyone who's moping along and not feeling happy with the day. I think this is one of the best die sets ever.
Supplies:
- Hero Arts Flower and Butterfly Set Frame Cuts Die
- Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp Cut (sentiment)
- ECD Micro-fine glitter
- ECD Double-sided adhesive
My sample card at a2z Scrapbooking is here.

Color your Die-Cut for a Change of Pace
Our Great Sponsor at Die Cut Divas is
One Happy Cut
One Happy Cut will give out a $15 gift certificate
I have used this die only a couple times and always as a background. I colored this die a few months ago and just never put it on anything. I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to set it apart and let people see the true beauty of coloring a die, rather than a stamp. This is a not only a silhouette die.
This is my new technique, color in a die and then make it a focus. Two for One.

Happy New Year and a New Challenge
This is such a beautiful image; you wonder what she's thinking. This sweet image is one of the many beautiful images at Morgan's Art World. Be sure to enter the challenge and check out the samples here. It would be marvelous if you used one of Morgan's fabulous images too, but that is not mandatory. I do love this and I can't wait to see everyone's take on this image.
Close-up of this lovely image. I'd love to see what you all can do with her.
Yes, I did cut her out. A labor of love.
Have a great beginning of the new year!

All That Glitters Is Not Gold
I DID NOT sponge the card with any inks. This is the pattern on the card stock. I would love to have made this background, but when it's already done and so beautifully at that, I say USE IT.
This may not be fireworks, but it is glittery. This is just a die-cut and small sentiment, yet it is enough to make this card live.
Supplies:
- Hero Arts Butterfly Fancy Die at a2z Scrappbooking
- Hero Arts Butterfly and Flower here and it's on sale for only $8.00 (sentiment) (WHAT A DEAL)
- Adhesive and Warm Diamond Microfine Glitter (Elizabeth Craft Designs) You might try the Hero Arts Prisma Glitter here
- Card stock from a 12" X 12" paper pad by Craft Smith while it was on sale in October 2015.
Of course I couldn't stop at one card. However, I wanted a quick and dirty way to make this card about 15 times. Below are samples of four different colors I used. The butterfly on the green background is more green than shown below. I used the hard thick glitter paper, which worked out just fine.
Supplies:
- Hero Arts Butterfly Fancy Die at a2z Scrappbooking
- Hero Arts Autumn (sentiment) out of stock, but you can always request a custom order
- Card stock from a 12" X 12" paper pad from a local stamp shop

New Challenges at Die Cut Divas
I'm showing the inside of the card first. I viewed lots of youtube videos on the Adirondack Chair by Karen Burniston and this is very similar to the card on Karen's video. I used the hat, sunglasses and flip-flops while a cute cat was popped on Karen's card.
See the new challenge at Die Cut Divas.
Outside of card (a thank you card intimating it's time to thank someone) This card went to Southern California. I thought it was quite appropriate for the area.
