A Kat Scrappiness Hello!

It's November and a new challenge is here.

Our sponsor is this month is Kat Scrappiness, (KS) and they are offering a Kat Scrappiness gift package worth $100!  Unfortunately, due to high shipping cost, this prize could only be awarded to a winner (randomly selected) with a valid U.S. address.

The Challenge is:  ANYTHING TO DO WITH HOLIDAYS
(any holiday)

I'm not sure of how many of us send out Thanksgiving cards, but I definitely will be sending out at least one card.  It's pretty simple, but I really like how it came together.  A rainbow doesn't have to be the normal rainbow colors.  My rainbow happens to be Autumn colors.  You might make a Christmas rainbow. My next card has a Christmas rainbow.  Read on.

Card ONE

Card TWO Shaker Card with a Christmas Rainbow
Every single die, paper and enamel dot used on this card is from Kat Scrappiness.

This is a shiny, sparkly card, almost every inch covered with clear Wink of Stella.  I was squeezing every wink out of the Wink of Stella, so it is super sparkly.  I used Copic markers to color the rainbow and sentiment.  I had left-over cuts from a film strip die which I then die-cut with a smaller square die so I could layer the die cut to make a shaker card.  I used a clear top from a take home meal and covered the top with a last layer of paper to make the shaker part.

Birch Press Challenge

Today is the final day of the Die Cut Divas' challenge, so be sure to enter the challenge before 9:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time as the challenge will close.

Our Sponsor's Prize is a $20 gift card, so be sure to play for a chance to win.

The challenge is to use a layered dye set or to layer a Die over another Die.

I absolutely fell in love with this poinsettia die.  I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful poinsettia die ever. I love the detail and I think you could use either markers or distress inks to color this poinsettia.  I did use a nature type die set with this beauty and this great sentiment.  As I checked for a background, I found a square of paper in my stash to use.  This really is an amazing die.
I die cut this in white paper and used Copic markers to color the red leaves and to swipe over the white top layers of each leaf.

Waiting Until The Last Minute

Waiting until the last minute - oh well.  I almost forgot to make a card to play with the Craft Roulette categories as I am having an issue with getting my photos from my main computer onto any blog posting.  I have to send an email to myself with an attachment of my photo and pick it up on my laptop to insert it into my blog post.  At least I know my issue is on my computer and am trying to solve it.

The Categories are as follows with my interpretation:
Project: Cardstock + Not Cardstock (Card base + paper pieced elf hats)
Colors: Santa's Workshop (any color - rainbows, elves...)
Element: Collar(s) (Elf collars)
Random: Zig Zag (green zig zag ribbon)

I almost forgot the zig zag

California Dreamin'

 California Dreamin'

Thank you to Linda of DCD for sending me this great stamp set from Hero Arts.  Linda found the right place for this stamp set and I had fun creating this fun card.  A little Copic marker here, a little Copic marker there and it's off to a friend who moved to Illinois from California.  I'm here to stay, no snow for me to shovel.  LOL

I'm having trouble inserting my photos from my files and I will work on this, but I can download directly from my photos.  This is a small card, but one that will be well received by my friend in the Chicago area as she lived here in California for most of her life.  AND she's coming back for a visit soon, well, fairly soon.

This is a small square card, but perfect to fit in an A2 envelope. Wait until you see the cute envelope I made for this card.  I think Lesley's mailman will be hearing Owl sounds coming from his mailbag.

Inside of card and a perfect sentiment

The Envelope below - that's right.  I blame Kat Scrappiness for making this cute stamp set.  There's a separate owl and lots of fun sayings.  I wrote the name and address inside the large house and mailed it on its way after checking with the post office that I could indeed mail this.  What a cute surprise awaits my friend when she receives her mail in a few days. To color this image, I put paper in the envelope just in case the markers bled through to the back.

Supplies:
Hero Arts Golden State
Kat Scrappiness Owl Envelope Art Stamp set (only $4.99 right now)
Rubbernecker Nested RC Square - small die set
Kat Scrappiness Never Ending Square dies
The Paper Studio enamel dot - yellow

A Challenge For Me

This was really a challenge for me!

Here's the categories for Craft Roulette that I had to put together to make a card.  Finding a large flower was one of the hardest items for me.  I couldn't find the exact thing I wanted so I decided to use this rose embossing folder and make it work.  I mean, What the Elf was I doing with a flower in my elf scene?  It's quirky enough that I'm going to send this to a guy friend.
