A Little Birdie Told Me

June is Frantic Stamper month at Die Cut Divas - the challenge is animals or pets and animals or pets is loosely interpreted.  Have fun with birds, fish, mice, bears, some kind of animal or pet.

Frantic Stamper Inc.

Here's the pretty little Red Crazy Bird I colored and die cut for my Thank you to Frantic Stampers.

I thought I'd make a card that was a fun way to say "Get Well without the ordinary "get well" message.  This bird is a plump little guy and he's worth a bit of a laugh.

June CCC reveal

Time for me to reveal my card in the Card Chain Challenge.  I just purchased this die and this is my first creation.  I know this looks quick and easy, but it took me a week of die cutting a few of the dies in the kit, a few at a time because I wasn't sure where I was going with this.  I die cut two glasses in white paper and cut out the center of one.  I then die-cu the glass out of JudiKins plastic.  I colored or sponged the different die-cuts and arranged the little cuts inside the glass, glued the clear JudiKins plastic on top, then glued the cut out glass on top of that.  I had threaded the straw and umbrella through the glass hole in the top.

If you look closely, you can see the glare of the plastic glass in the close-ups.

Have fun.

I Don't Do Mornings

June is Frantic Stamper month at Die Cut Divas - the challenge is animals or pets and animals or pets is loosely interpreted.  Have fun with birds, fish, mice, bears, some kind of animal or pet.

Frantic Stamper Inc.

I stamped a bunch of different Crazy Birds and colored them in different colors, from purple to red and yellow to blue.  I thought this little guy would not be up for mornings and chose this sentiment.  Poor dear.  I know several people who feel this way.  hehehe

Time for the Digi Duel at A2Z Scrapbooking

It's time for the DIGI DUEL at A2Z Scrapbooking.  I never know what kind of a project my partner in crime may complete, so it's as much a surprise to me as to you.  Check it out.  Remember that this post has nothing to do with the challenge theme, but everything to do with the digi prize of the month.

I wanted to take advantage of the Travel Words included in this set to make a black and white card, but I see so many other uses for this phrases as borders, part of a page layout, anything your heart desires.  I added the glasses from the spring release set "In the Study" as a fun last line and a stamp from an older Hero Arts set and popped it up.  You can mix and match, just like that.

Sugartree Lemonade at A2Z Scrapbooking

I really like the latest release of Sugartree stamps.  You can choose the mini stamp set of jar and sentiment "You're sweeter than sweet tea" or add lots of other digital stamps to this cute iced jar with the full set of stamps and make lemonade..  I made my own background with the sweet jar, spread distress inks with a brush on the bottom panel and die cut.  Visit A2Z Scrapbooking to join the challenge.  My post at A2Z Scrapbooking is here.

Sugartree Graduation Card at A2Z Scrapbooking

My granddaughter graduated last week and I spent quite some time trying to figure out what stamps I wanted to use and whether I wanted the card to be kind or cute or elegant.  I went with cute.

Check out A2Z Scrapbooking for the current challenge and this post.

Inside of card and behind that inside panel, I tucked a $2:00 bill and a little extra.  This is a panel adhered to an Elizabeth Craft Designs Sleigh Gift Card Holder Pop-up.
My favorite die for holding gift cards or money.

I love being able to resize a digital.  I used the same diploma on the front, but in a smaller size and positioned differently.

I'm entering my card into the Crop Stop challenge here.  Anything Goes and you must use a product from one of the companies Crop Stop.com carries, but the product doesn't have to be stocked in the store.

A2Z Thank You with Flowers

I didn't think I could use this Sugartree image for a monochrome challenge, but as I thought about it, I knew I could do it.  So many of my pink to red colors to use and it worked out great.  The one thing I wondered about were the flower stems (they aren't normally red or pink).  However, I used a warm gray and they look great.  Where there's a will, there's a way.

Visit A2Z Scrapbooking to enter the current challenge and then off to buy your stamps at the store.

Birthday Bash at A2Z Scrapbooking

I sometimes print out several size digital images and then see what appeals to me.  I went with my largest print out and rather fell in love with my cake. It's a rather simple design, but the colors and cute flames above the candles really perk me up.  It's kind of unusual, but I like it.

Monochrome at A2Z Scrapbooking

I love the butterflies and spiral stencil from Hero Arts and putting the two together works so well.

It's a monochrome challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking and when I was making this card, I wasn't paying attention to the colors, just putting them together for fun.  I love when that happens.  Please join the challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking.

I usually fill in all the holes in this stencil, but I'm trying to be open to different techniques, such as leaving white space.  AND I like it.    Using an Ombre ink will allow for a design with three different ink colors in one ink pad and you know they will MATCH.  I used only the Ombre ink and VersaFine ink on this card, meaning I didn't have to make any major ink choices.

Let's check out Frantic Stamper This Month

June is Frantic Stamper month at Die Cut Divas - the challenge is animals or pets and animals or pets is loosely interpreted.  Have fun with birds, fish, mice, bears, some kind of animal or pet.

Frantic Stamper Inc.

I figured I might as well make two cards since I had this kitty cat out to die-cut.  The kitty could be so many colors and is such a cutey.  My first kitty and mouse are framed by a Memory Box die (Delicate Branch Frame) on an Elizabeth Craft Designs (ECD) Through the Lens paper (stone) with a ECD Smile sentiment.  The black Stitched Rectangle panel highlights the main panel.  Using scrap paper for the kitty is even better.  A bit of Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss, Midnight Blue on the collar and medallion complete a cute card.

Close-up below

My second card features the kitty and mouse on an ECD Through the Lens paper (Wood) cut by an older Hero Arts die.  ECD additional framing is made up of ECD Stitched Rectangles.I cut a Sizzix Thinlits "Friend" sentiment (hello) to complete the card.  Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Red Berry pops the collar and medallion.

I hope you like these darlings.  Have a great day.
