Hello Tea and Cupcake

Last day to enter the "Anything Goes" challenge at Die Cut Divas.

Here is my last card for Elizabeth Craft Designs sponsored challenge for August.  I think a spot of tea and a bite of cupcake with a drink of tea is the way to go.

Tea and Macaroons for You

I thought this set was so cute.  I love the macaroons all stacked up and tied with a ribbon.  I had a lot of fun playing with this set.  I just drew lines across the bottom third of the card and used the lines as if it were a table, sitting with two cups of tea with a snack.  I hope you enjoy this unique set.

A close-up of the macaroons shows some creamy white filling for the macaroon.  I wouldn't eat this creamy filling though.  It's Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss - Simply White. But it's wonderful to see and looks like it is real filling.

CCC Reveal for August 2017

I sent my partner this card in the Card Chain Challenge (CCC) at  The Card Chain Challenge.  This challenge was moved from my friend Debbie Nolan's blog and is growing as we get the word out.  I love receiving a card once a month from other card makers.  Very special.

I sent this card to Gwendolyn in Germany and I hope she likes it.  I was quite pleased with it.  There are so many stamps and die cuts in the set that I have not tired of it yet.
My heart was in these sailing ships.

Closeup of the ships - I LOVE SHIPS, well the old schooners and such.

Supplies:

Enjoy The Bright and Glittery Journey

I'd like to share a card that is glittery and bright and hopefully beautiful.  This is my third time this season to use this set for A2Z Scrapbooking.  I think three times is the charm.   I found this light filmy glittery paper at my local stamp shop before they closed (paper thin and soft).  I was able to stamp and die cut the ship and pop it up.  The black while and squid are cut from glitter cardstock.

Challenge over at Morgan's ArtWorld - woohooo

I made a card for the challenge starting at Morgan's ArtWorld and I wanted to share a close-up here. If the web site is not up yet, please be patient.

I always enjoy coloring and this image goes quite quickly for coloring.  I used a stencil on the card panel with some Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.  Fun to do.

Flower in a Pot at Morgan's ArtWorld

New August Releases at Morgan's ArtWorld and this is one of them.  The releases can be seen here.

Something drew me to this simple flower in a pot.  I decided to enlarge the digital stamp to about 4 3/4 inches high by 3 and 3/4 inches wide from left leaf to tip of bucket handle.  It really was a perfect size.  I cut it all out because I wanted to pop it up and I really like this.

Journal A double page is ready.

It's the bright and beautiful challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking and I love my bright butterfly and ship backgrounds on this page.  The second page has a bit of glitter from the tag.

I didn't have any mojo for working on my journal for awhile and all of a sudden two pages came together for me. The first page uses a double sided paper, one a map and the other is black with light circles.  I printed out some ships from the Hero Arts Vintage Travel digital kit and adhered a group of three to the bottom of a pockent on one side.  The digital butterfly is beautiful when cut out.  A cut piece of card stock is tucked into the pocket and now has some nifty things in it for the next six months.

Back side of page - map paper with light green coloring on the landmasses.  A Hero Arts Tag cut out of glitter paper is adhered to the map and a ship to cross the seas lies on top.

The card stock tag sticks up out of the pocket.  I'm writing in white pen.
I looks pretty darn cool.

I am using these tags to keep track of the next six months use of materials.  Pretty cool, I think.

New page now on rings with the first page I did earlier this year.  .

I've put the new journal page on rings and have a lot of my notes in here for A7Z Scrapbooking.

Bright and Beautiful with a Fancy Butterfly

August is a special Bright and Beautiful month for the A2Z Scrapbooking team.

My mind immediately went to the most beautiful butterfly I've seen.  This is just a gorgeous die to cut and I've used so many different types of material to cut.  This is one of my very favorite cards.  If you like it here, you should see it in real life.

I've put the new journal page on rings and have a lot of my notes in here for A7Z Scrapbooking.
