Have a Happy New Year with a Challenge at Morgan's Artworld

I'm going with a muscle card for the new year.  I wish I had long beautiful hair, but that's never going to happen, so I'm going with this quite masculine warrior with long hair.

I love this sleigh. This scene is cute and easy to color. However, I fussy cut the tree and the mouse pulling the sleigh so I could pop them out from the scene on top of the originals.

Sometimes, a colored image is nice to print out and use. I only added Copic markers Co and C2 to color the shadowing around the bottom of the car.

First Card

Second Card

Two of each style

Two of each square cut cards

The light color is not the true color.  I may have had just a bit too much light focused on the card.  The darker colors of the first two cards are the true color of the car.

The image can be purchased in black and white or colored as I chose.  It's such a cute image and well colored.

Supplies:

Gift Cards galore

I've got a photo heavy blog post for you today.  My first card is a cute Christmas Mice card and all cards are gift cards for my family.  This first card is on the A2Z Scrapbooking blog here.

All cards were cut with my Vagabond die cut machine and the Sleigh Gift Card Holder which may no longer be in stock.

One card at a time:  These Hero Arts Christmas Mice are so darn cute and I thought they paired up well with the iECD gloo.

Inside of this card for one of my sons  I thought the addition of cheese was a fun thing to add.

Remember to use my discount code Arlene15 to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more.at A2Z Scrapbooking.

Second Card:  This card is for one of my sons too.

I couldn't resist putting a Xmas Mouse in here too.  I love having a little hot chocolate on a cold night and thought this was a great non-fattening cup and candy cane

Supplies:

Third card is for my daughter-in-law:

Such a cute polar bear and I found this bow tie on my desk amid some other scraps.  YEAH  I found last years Hero Arts Santa on his sleigh to be perfect darting across the sky.

Supplies:
  • Hero Arts wood block "Santa's Sleight - very small stamp
  • Distress Ink Victorian Velvet on the marshmallows
  • Elizabeth Craft dies (Igloo, Xmas Sentiments and Polar Bear)
  • Elizabeth Craft stamp set )Winter Sentiments)
Fourth and Final Card is for my granddaughter:  When I was making the penguin, it dropped to the table upside down and I couldn't resist show it's backside to you.  LOL

Supplies:
  • Elizabeth Craft Designs dies (Igloo, Brrrrrrr, Penguin and new sleigh)
  • Elizabeth Craft Designs stamp set "Holiday Cheer"
I finished the last card on Saturday.  Happy Holidays!

Be sure to enter the As You Like It Challenge

Be sure to enter the As You Like It Challenge sponsored by Morgan's Artworld.  For your inspiration, I've colored the fabulous Winter 10.   This Winter image is just one of my favorite images.  Who could resist this girl in winter coat with a wonderful soft fur collar.

I've taken this photo of my card to show how lovely it is without any flowers.  You can mail this flat in regular mail.

This second photo shows what the addition of a flower can do. I love it both ways.

This image is perfect to use for any winter/holiday card.

Hero Arts Gingerbread House Stamp and Cut

I think these houses are so festive andI like the added depth from the background I made from two dies which added to the spacial aspect of the card.  It's whimsical and so very cute.

On the inside, I added a partial edge die and a cute mouse from the

A2Z Holiday Tags for You

A2Z Scrapbooking!

Last DIgi Duel of 2018 is on! Check out the A2Z Scrapbooking blog to check out Char's take on this digi kit.  She is always a delight to challenge.

I don't know why I never used this digi before and the winner of the December challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking will walk away with this digital.

Making tags was never so easy as with the digital Holiday Tags from A2Z Scrapbooking.  I made tags, large and small, decorate or not, or use ribbon to tie or staple on the tags.  I tried them all.  I think I like my larger tags best because you can decorate with stamps or dies or both.  I used a previous Xmas delight of elves (which I am sure no longer available), but you can use whatever your heart desires.

Arlene here and I'm looking forward to December 25th and sharing all my new tags.

Hero Arts Holiday Greenery Dies Create An Easy Card

Please visit A2Z Scrapbooking and enter our challenge.

I saw the Holiday Greenery Edge used in the Hero Arts (HA) Catalog, but wondered how it would look with two dies, opposed to each other on a card.  I was surprised to see that a white background and green die cut was a smart, sharp combination.  I like the inspiration this HA page gave me..
Here is my inspiration card for A2Z Scrapbooking.

I used Nuvo Red Berry to do the berries on the die-cut and joined them together with berries facing the outside of the card.  A glittery gold tape conceals the space where the dies join.  A small stamped "Merry Christmas" completes the card.  Simple and simply delightful to look at.

Hero Arts Happy Holidays

I so like the new holiday stamps and dies.  I used three new Hero Arts (HA) products.on a masculine Christmas card.  At least I think it feels more masculine. You can make your own decision.  Something about this card appeals to me and I can't explain what exactly I connect with.

I die-cut the Woodgrain die onto a file folder and distressed the entire die-cut with Vintage Photo distress ink.  Since I was in a brown mood, I stamped the houses and trees in brown, also on a file folder.  I then looked for a background to go with the stamped images and die-cut woodgrain.  I found a paper and die cut the Happy Holidays and the card seemed to come together all by itself.

I went with a pre-colored image for the season and only added a Copic color of BG0000 to the image and a season's greeting. I would have colored the black and white version in the same colors. I didn't make just one card so check out the set of cards.

Three more cards
I used Distress inks Fired Brick and Candied Apple on the edges of the rectangle cards.  The dies for the square card are Elizabeth Craft Designs Postage Stamp Squares.

Supplies:
Di's Digital Stamp colored image - Micemas Post col (they also have black and white images)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles
Copic marker BG0000
