Last Day to enter the Die Cut Divas' challenge.
Thank you to Die Cut Divas' Sponsor, Rachel Vass Designs

January 2022: Sponsor: Rachel Vass Design - Theme: FLOWERS

Winner will receive 3 digital stamps.

I knew I would absolutely LOVE this digital stamp and I do. On my first post of the month, I colored the flowers yellow and I do love that card, but here I went bigger (not always better, but I think here it is) and added another sentiment. You could use this image with several sentiments for just about anything. I'm thrilled with this image and also my card.

Julia Spiri and World Wide Open Design Team Challenge

World Wide Open Design Team Challenge

You MUST be a DT on any Design Team in the World to be eligible to enter this Challenge ~ New exception rule, this challenge is now open to any of Julia Spiri Facebook Members, and you are not required to be on a DT.

The challenge runs from January 15th throughFebruary 12th, Sydney Time Zone 7:00 a.m. or if you're in California, like me, The challenge starts on a Friday, January 14th, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight

Julia Spiri has created some wonderful digitals and this digi is a wonderful take on Alice in Wonderland peeking through the key hole.  I knew the roses had to be painted red, but I made a mistake on the rose bushes over the fountain.  I saw the swirls there, but wasn't thinking that, YES, those are roses too.  I cheated and popped little red Nuvo drops on those bushes painting the roses red.

Talk About Color!

When you chose to make a card in rainbow colors, you're bound to overdo it sometimes.  My gnomes have jumped over and INTO to rainbow.  I usually stamp and die-cut several images while I have my stamps and dies out.  I usually color at least one of the images and that's how my colorful gnomes landed here.  I just picked them out of my bag and popped them up.  It really is as bright as it looks here.  A Noel red paper die on a white paper die finished this already bright card.

Supplies:
Whimsy Gnome for Christmas clear stamp set
Whimsy Gnome for Christmas matching dies

Christmas Rainbows in January

It's always time to make Christmas cards and here I am with my first card for December 2022.  I think this card has a fresh feel to it because of the color combinations - the colors of the rainbow.  I have another one in the making too.  I recently purchased a Connie Fong digital set and first time using it.  I never thought I'd really use just the candy canes, but I did.

December Card Chain Challenge Reveal

The challenge at Card Chain Challenge was a Tic-Tac-Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, meaning we're challenging ourselves with a 5 X 5 grid.

To challenge yourself and also make new friends across the world, check out the Card Chain Challenge blog.  I love receiving a hand-made card, so much better than a store-bought card.

It took me awhile to decide what to make, but I finally fell in love with this Winter house all done in glitter papers set onto a flocked vellum onto a matt red base.  I got two in one for both red and gold glitter papers.  I die-cut those cute birds and stamped and colored Santa Clause who is perfect for the doorway.  I used a fuzzy embossed vellum behind the windows.  I spent a lot of woman-hours die-cutting each single piece since I made 7 different houses (it took me several days), but I am soooo happy with these.  Making sure the different pieces stick is one little problem when working with glitter paper, but I'd do it again!

The birds are not part of the Winter house set, but they are perfect little birds to cheer up the house.

Supplies:
Poppy Stamps Winter House Pop Up Easel set can be found at Frantic Stamper
IO dies Birch Trees (little red birds from tree set) found at Frantic Stamper
Hero Arts Mr. and Mrs. Stamp and Cut found at Frantic Stamper
Glitter papers in my stash
Flocked Vellum from Stamping Up (last year's catalog) in windows
Copic markers used on Santa

Hope your year has been GOOD, no, GREAT!
