A2Z Scrapbooking has a New Challenge and March is Color It In

Sometimes you color some things, cut them out and they sit waiting for you to get some inspiration to continue.  I thought receiving new dies would bring me inspiration and THEY DID.

Very simply, I created a background of dies and staggered the cups up the smallest die-cut, then die cut a sentiment.  I'm a tea drinker and my breakfast tea is always in a cup or mug, so my sentiment has to be one for tea.

I sponged frayed burlap all over the woodgrain die-cut and then thought it too light so added some touches of vintage photo.  I wanted to use my new stencil and create a nice design on the cup and tattered rose seemed the perfect color for an old-fashioned cup of cocoa, coffee or tea.  The rest kind of fell into place.  I used a lot of different dies on this, but I am SO HAPPY I purchased the new HA Woodgrain Die.because you can also emboss with the die - here is a YouTube video.

Sugartree Lemonade at A2Z Scrapbooking

I really like the latest release of Sugartree stamps.  You can choose the mini stamp set of jar and sentiment "You're sweeter than sweet tea" or add lots of other digital stamps to this cute iced jar with the full set of stamps and make lemonade..  I made my own background with the sweet jar, spread distress inks with a brush on the bottom panel and die cut.  Visit A2Z Scrapbooking to join the challenge.  My post at A2Z Scrapbooking is here.

Sugartree Graduation Card at A2Z Scrapbooking

My granddaughter graduated last week and I spent quite some time trying to figure out what stamps I wanted to use and whether I wanted the card to be kind or cute or elegant.  I went with cute.

Inside of card and behind that inside panel, I tucked a $2:00 bill and a little extra.  This is a panel adhered to an Elizabeth Craft Designs Sleigh Gift Card Holder Pop-up.

I love being able to resize a digital.  I used the same diploma on the front, but in a smaller size and positioned differently.

Sugartree Sweeter Than Sweet Tea

It's Blog Hop time and I am lucky enough to be able to use the brand new digial kit by Sugartree Stamps.   I think it's a bit of Picnic and gingham time for me. I really;like how this turned out so cute.  I'm very happy with it and it's definitely going to my granddaughter.

Check out the Sugar Tree stamps at the A2Z Scrapbooking store here.  . I took the cup and one of the sentiments and copied them into word, resized them to work on a medium size.  I copied the first cup, pasted it and then cropped the second cup for only the sleeve.  Coloring was a breeze and adhering the cup sleeve over the cup gives the cup more definition.  Popping the cup up over the scrap panel is quite striking. The background panel looks like a gingham table cloth to put out for a picnic.

Mother's Day Card Using a Sugartree Sentiment

Mix a bit of digi with coloring and this is one of the results.  I gave this card to my daughter-in-law for Mother's Day.  A friend gave me the paper to color and I went for yellows and pinks.  Below the card is one of the panels in pink that I colored.  I didn't think I would like the panels so well, but I love the gold outlines (which you can feel if you run your finger over the panel) and extremely smooth paper.

I usually print out digital sentiments in different sizes to see how they will fit on the card and either die cut the sentiment or make a banner with scissors like I did here.
