Last Day of October with Brass & Bliss

I'm having Fun with Brass and Bliss

WOW!  They are offering a $50 gift card. Double WOW!

Please note that challenge winner must have a US address.

Since this is an "Anything Goes" month on Die Cut Divas, I thought I would use this fun Halloween "Coffee set".  I've had it for about 5 months and finally got to use it.  Yeah, I almost missed Halloween, but not quite.
Oh, I can't tell you how much fun it was coloring these "coffee cups". The bottom cup is obviously hot chocolate with marshmallows. I couldn't help myself when I saw these.  I know some would have passed, but to me, I'd use a cup like any one of these for the season.  I sent this to a friend who needs some cheer and who loves to decorate.  She LOVED it.

Supplies:
Brass & Bliss Slimline Bubble Wave Stencil
Brass & Bliss Slimline OPD wavy die
Nuvo Crystal Drops Violet Galaxy in the foam on the purple mug

Tags for those Fun Exchange Days in December

I've started getting tags ready for those fun Exchange Days in December.  My DCD friend, Linda sent me some cuts, so I will have some wonderful tags.  The one below is actually made into a small card so you can write a message inside.
Picture Heavy

Make sure you visit Die Cut Divas to join the fun and surprise!  It's an "Anything Goes" month.

Please note that challenge winner must have an US address.

By the Way, THIS IS A CARD - two die cuts glued together at the top.
The card uses Artistro gold marker on the bell, while the tags are done with Copic markers.  I thought there should be snow falling over the bell.

TAGS to follow

Tags follow with the bell colored in with Copic markers, which I like much better.

I showed these tags to some friends and a friend wondered why I spent so much work on a tag.  She asked if I thought anyone saved a tag and thought it was too much work to put into a tag.  I was just having fun and using up snips of paper that I had in my leftovers.  I really had to think.  Because the tags I make are usually for family members, they can be reused.  Our family re-uses Christmas wrapping paper and when we can, also the tags, but if the tag is for someone else, I don't find it offensive or wasted time if someone throws the tag out.  They would have enjoyed the tag (I hope) and gotten the joy from it.

Let's Play at Craft Roulette

The Categories were so delightful, I put aside all of my other projects to work on this on.

Categories
Project: Card for a friend - sentiment (you're the best)
Colors: Bright Colors Red is definitely - a bright color to me
Element: Happy - sentiment (Happy Holidays)
Random: Partial Image -  Santa going down the chimney

I did not color anything on this card.  Don't mind me fainting... thud.  LOL  Guess what, Santa is stuck in that chimney much farther than he is supposed to be.  His buckle and waist should be visible, but I had stuck and glued his bottom in and it looked good to me, but I found an extra piece and looked at the picture and realized oh, not exactly the same.  I think Santa is REALLY stuck now.

Supplies:
Brass & Bliss Stuck Santa die
Brass & Bliss Tangled Moose (Happy Holidays)
Rubbernecker NOW Brass & Bliss - Mini Phrases #1 - (You're the Best) - no longer available
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Metallic - Autumn Red

I couldn't Resist!

I couldn't resist the Categories at Craft Roulette even though I have other
"stuff" I really do need to work on.

The Categories are:
Project: Dutch Door - I don't believe I've ever seen this fold
Colors: Bird Feeder - brown w/ Fall leaves
Element: October - Halloween
Random: Polka Dots - from paper inside envelopes

I cut the front of the card down to a little less than a third of the card to make a "Dutch Door" card.  I had made a card with some Halloween cups for later this month and immediately stamped and cut two out.  I found some leaves that I'd already die-cut out, but never colored.  I wanted something on the inside of the card and found a die I'd already colored for another card, but didn't like it for that card.  I think my card turned out to be so cute and want you to see all three pictures I took.

This is almost closed, but standing up on its own.

This card is partly open. Just a peek here of the inside.

This is the "inside" of the card.

Supplies:
Brass & Bliss Spooktacular Coffee Set
Rubbernecker - now Brass & Bliss - not carried  (phrase "Just Because" &  "You're the Best"
Rubbernecker - now Brass & Bliss - not carried  (Splatter Leaves)
Nuvo Crystal Crystal Drops Red Berry and Ebony Black
Copic markers
Vagabond die cut machine

October Sharing with The Creative Crafters

The Creative  Crafters starts a monthly challenge every 15th of the month and I've used a lovely flower as inspiration for this month.

This challenge is always "Anything Goes".
Be sure to join The Creative  Crafters challenge!

Here's something I put together at Paperganza this year. I was busy sitting together with my co-conspirator, Linda, here at Die Cut Divas, and 7 others at our table.  I screwed up the first time putting the pop up piece on the card.  You have to look at how they are attached on the ends so they can actually pop up.  Karen Burniston was fantastic in helping us put together our cards.

Card pieces were already die cut from Karen Burniston's Photo Fan Pop-up

Card Chain Challenge for September

I truly couldn't think of what to do from this selection, but as I pasted the options in, I discovered that I

I just couldn't think of anything but "Friendship" and so I went with a friendship card. This card was not the card I intended to make, but I fell in love with it.  I die cut the larger dies twice so I could glue them together at the top to create a card.  I think the phrase is actually meant for the back of the card, but I thought it was too good not to make a note inside as I figure a card maker would find it funny.

If you can't read it, here's what the sentiment says:
I write
"made with love"
on my cards because "made with cursing
way too much money
and lots of alcohol"
won't fit on the label.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Postage Stamp Squares
Karen Burniston Postage Pop Up Dies
