Butterflies, Anyone?

This is not a large card, just the size of the Hot Chocolate cup and whipped cream.  I rather hated to give it away today.   I cut 2 cups and cut the handle off on the back flap.  The paper worked out perfectly.

I had a request for a card or something to stand on a desk that had a butterfly or several with one rising up freeing itself.  My daughter-in-law wanted something that she can see as herself breaking out of MS and flying free.  This card went with the multimedia project I made (below the cup).  This butterfly is one of many on the project.  I am also showcasing my main project below this card.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Hot Chocolate die
Butterflies by Echo Park on my Cameo die cut machine
Vagabond die cut machine for ECD dies
Paper - World Traveler 6" X 6" paper pad

I'm entering the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop here

It's very simple, but I rather like it.

I took a folder that opened from the top, put an 8 1/2 X 11 inch Sticky Canvas on the top, cut it down to about 7 inches wide and 9 1/2 inches long.  I glued another folder on the inside of the first folder to strengthen it so this can stand on its own and it Does!  I have never used canvas before, but used the acrylic colors directly on the sticky canvas, white, gray and sky blue to give a background of land and sky.  Using my Cameo, I cut an Echo Park buttery and what I believe is a Silhouette butterfly numerous times.   I took three Copic markers in yellows and reds.  My daughter-in-law likes Autumn colors, so that's how I chose my colors.  I'm happy with the results.
